Extract from Hansard
5618. Hon Alison Xamon to the Minister for Mental Health representing the Minister for Water
I refer to the answer to my question on notice No. 4333 in which Latent Petroleum used 4,357,578 litres of water to hydraulically fracture the Warro-3 tight gas well, and I ask:
(1) Did the Department of Water licence any water extraction to be used for this purpose?
(2) If yes to 1 —
(a) how much water was licenced;
(b) where was that water sourced from;
(c) were any conditions applied to the licence;
(d) was metering required;
(e) when was the licence application received; and
(f) when was the licence application approved?
Hon HELEN MORTON replied:
(2) (a) 20 000 kilolitres per annum.
(b) Jurien Groundwater Area
(e) 16 August 2010
(f) 23 August 2010.
