Jandakot Airport expansion - Department of Environment and Conservation submissions
271. Hon ALISON XAMON to the Minister for Environment:
I refer to the Jandakot groundwater mound —
(1) What representations and submissions has the Department of Environment and Conservation made to the commonwealth Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts regarding the expansion of Jandakot airport.
(2) Will the minister now table those representations and submissions?
(3) If no to (2), why not?
Hon DONNA FARAGHER replied:
I thank the member for some notice of this question.
(1) The Department of Environment and Conservation has responded to requests from the Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts regarding information relating to the Jandakot airport expansion. However, on 29 October 2009 the state government’s report on the “Preliminary Draft Jandakot Airport Master Plan 2009”, which represents a whole-of-government submission was forwarded to the commonwealth government.
(2) I advise the member that on 17 November 2009 the Minister for Planning tabled the state government’s report in the Legislative Council, question on notice 1266.
(3) Not applicable.
