Public Service
The public service consists of a group of dedicated and professional people who deliver a range of vital goods and services to the community and government. These sectors cover services within community and government, ranging from beaurocrats, lawyers, police, doctors, nurses, teachers, carers, and so on. They are the backbone that keeps our society functioning.
The public service though is required to be responsive to politicians mandates, that may at times be odds to what is best in the public interests. Therefore, Alison believes that the public service must be protected and supported in order to continue provide their essential role of providing of their goods and services to both the community and government.
