The Perth Hills Planning Bill 2010
The Hills Bill aims to promote sustainable, appropriate and integrated land use planning and development in the Perth Hills area.
The Hills Bill establishes the Perth Hills Planning Committee, to develop, monitor and assess a whole-of-Perth-Hills Plan to 2050 (the Perth Hills Plan), as well as to provide advice to selected bodies on sustainable planning and development in the Perth Hills area.
The Committee is appointed by the Minister, and reflects a balance of representation and expertise, to fully achieve the objects of the Bill.
The Hills Bill will complement the current planning scheme by aiming to ensure that the Perth Hills community’s vision for the Perth Hills Zone is protected.
