How many Homeswest tenants have been subject to a termination of their lease for the years —


       (a) 2009;


       (b) 2010; and


       (c) 2011?



Hon SIMON O’BRIEN replied:


The Department of Housing advises that it currently collects data for tenants subject to termination of their lease in three categories including post issue of a termination notice, post court order and bailiff eviction.


 (a) From January 2009 to October 2009 data was not collected for tenants vacating post issue of a termination notice. For the period November 2009 to December 2009 the number of tenants vacated post issue of a termination notice is 10.


       From January 2009 to October 2009 data was not collected for tenants vacating post issue of a court order. For the period November 2009 to December 2009 the number of tenants vacated post issue of a court order is 16.


       For the period January 2009 to December 2009 the number of tenants vacated through bailiff eviction is 73.


 (b) For the period January 2010 to December 2010 the number of tenants vacated post issue of a termination notice is 62.


       For the period January 2010 to December 2010 the number of tenants vacated post issue of a court order is 99.


       For the period January 2010 to December 2010 the number of tenants vacated through bailiff eviction is 58.


(c) For the period January 2011 to August 2011 the number of tenants vacated post issue of a termination notice is 36.


       For the period January 2011 to August 2011 the number of tenants vacated post issue of a court order is 60.


       For the period January 2011 to August 2011 the number of tenants vacated through bailiff eviction is 89.
