I refer to the 2017 statutory review of the Children and Community Services Act 2004.
(1) Which recommendations from the review are supported by the McGowan government?
(2) Which recommendations will be addressed through amendments to the act?
(3) When is it anticipated that proposed amendments will be introduced into Parliament?
Hon SUE ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) Sixty-two of the 70 recommendations of the review are supported in principle. The remaining recommendations are still under consideration.
(2)–(3) The minister will make an announcement regarding proposed amendments before the end of the year.
