193. Hon Alison Xamon to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to consultation liaison services at Geraldton Hospital and I ask:
(a) how much dedicated psychiatric nurse FTE was allocated to the consultation liaison service:
(i) as at 1 July 2016; and
(ii) as at 1 July 2017;
(b) how much dedicated psychiatrist FTE was allocated to the consultation liaison service:
(i ) as at 1 July 2016; and
(ii) as at 1 July 2017; and
(c) how much dedicated registrar FTE was allocated to the consultation liaison service:
(i) as at 1 July 2016; and
(ii) as at 1 July 2017?

In regards to consultation liaison services at Geraldton Hospital:
I have been advised that the dedicated psychiatric nurse FTE allocated was:
(a) (i) 1.63 FTE as at 1 July 2016.
(ii) 2.38 FTE as at 1 July 2017.
(b) (i) – (ii) There is no dedicated psychiatrist FTE allocated to consultation liaison services. The Mental Health Service provides consultation input as resources allow via the community mental health psychiatrist positions.
(c) (i) – (ii) There are no psychiatric registrar positions in the Midwest.
