(1) Please advise which statutory reviews of legislation within the Minister’s portfolios are currently outstanding?
(2) On what date were each of these reviews due?
Hon Sue Ellery replied:
(1) Child Care Services Act 2007
(2) The review of the Act was initially due by 10 August 2012. However, consideration was given to the Act’s provisions, and extensive amendments made, as part of the national regulatory reform program. This resulted in the transition of a vast majority of child care services to operation under the Education and Care Services National Law (WA) Act 2012. There are currently only three services being regulated under the Child Care Services Act 2007.
