Western Australians share a rich and diverse heritage that originates from every part of the world. Alison and the Greens believe we should celebrate our diversity and the many social, cultural and economic benefits that it brings to our community.
The Greens believe in promoting cultural and ethnic diversity by removing barriers to participation in all facets of West Australian life for people of diverse ethnic and cultural origins, and through effective campaigns and legislation prohibiting racism in all its forms.
Alison will continue to advocate for increased provision of culturally appropriate services, including:
Transcultural health and mental health services
Culturally appropriate family and domestic violence services
Language education and support services, including interpreter services and multi-lingual community information
Legal services.
