Fair and Transparent Government

508. Hon ALISON XAMON to the Leader of the House representing the Premier:

(1) Can the Premier please advise who donated money to the Labor Party between 25 and 28 August 2017 in return for being able to meet with which ministers?

(2) If no, why not?

(3) Please advise how members of the general public are to know who donates money for the purposes of accessing a minister and what is the earliest that this information will be made available?

HON TJORN SIBMA (North Metropolitan) [ 10.10 am ] — without notice: I move —

That this house expresses its concern with —

(a) the opaque manner in which ministers have provided information to this house when responding to parliamentary questions; and

(b) the government’s failure so early in its term to fulfil the Premier’s promise to be a transparent and accountable government characterised by decency, and ministers who behave properly.
